European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2013

Since 2006, the European Enterprise Promotion Awards have rewarded excellence in promoting entrepreneurship and small business at a national, regional and local level. Over 2 000 projects have entered since the awards were launched and together they have supported the creation of well over 10 000 new companies.

The European Enterprise Promotion Awards identify and recognise the most successful promoters of enterprise and entrepreneurship around Europe, showcase best entrepreneurship policies and practices, raise awareness of the added value of entrepreneurship and encourage and inspire potential entrepreneurs.

From 2013, the six award categories are:

• Promoting entrepreneurial spirit
• Investing in skills
• Improving the business environment
• Supporting the internationalisation of businesses
• NEW – Supporting the development of green markets and resource efficiency
• Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship.
