Cameroon, North Korea Work For Closer Ties

North Korea's Foreign Affairs Minister, Pak Ui Chun, was at the Ministry of External Relations on August 21, 2013.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic
of Korea, Pak Ui Chun is leading his country’s delegation to hold
discussions with Cameroon government officials with the objective of
promoting and reinforcing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Pak Ui Chun yesterday, August 21, 2013 had discussions with Cameroon’s
Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.
After their discussions, the visiting Foreign Affairs Minister told
reporters that he had positive indications and reactions on developing
the friendly and cooperation relations between Cameroon and the
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. He used the occasion to
congratulate the government and people of Cameroon who under the
leadership of President Paul Biya, have had much success in development
and stability.
Pak Ui Chun’s visit to Cameroon that will end on August 23, 2013, is
part of his ongoing tour of African countries that have already taken
him to Guinea-Conakry, Benin and Democratic Republic of Congo. Sources
at the Ministry of External Relations indicate that Pak Ui Chun was the
first ambassador of his country accredited to Cameroon when the two
countries established diplomatic relations in 1972.
