MINREX Focuses On Good Neighbourliness, Border Security

The 2014 New Year wishes ceremony held in the Ministry of External Relations on January 14, 2014.


The Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo on January 14, 2014 enjoined the staff of the ministry to work hard in order to achieve the key priorities of the ministry for 2014 that include consolidation of peace and security, good neighbourliness, security at Cameroon’s borders and economic transformation of the country.

He was speaking in the ministry as the staff presented 2014 New Year wishes to him as well as to the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Joseph Dion Ngute and the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum. Professor Moukoko Mbonjo called on the staff to reflect on the Head of State’s   2014 New Year message as well as the message to members of the diplomatic corps during the presentation of New Year wishes.
He reiterated the Head of State’s insistence on patriotism and invited the staff of the ministry to work to consolidate achievements in preserving peace and security.  The staff, he said, should also be exemplary citizens in their behaviour and have to accompany ministries involved in economic transformation and also business community. The Secretary General, Felix Mbayu, in an earlier speech on behalf of the staff presented problems that included the adoption of the special status of diplomats, career profile and working conditions.>>>
