MINRESI boss last Thursday September 5 held talks with America’s Prof. Hortense Dodo.

The Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation (MINRESI) and the American University of Alabama are working on ways through which they could develop scientific partnership to enhance biotechnologies in the domain of agronomic research in the country.
MINRESI boss, Madeleine Tchuinte, and Prof. Hortense Dodo, Professor of Molecular Biology and an expert in biotechnologies held talks in Yaounde last Thursday September 5, 2013.

According to a news release from MINRESI, Dr. Madeleine Tchuinte saluted the initiative stating that it would solidify the already existing cordial bilateral ties between Cameroon and the United States of America. She pledged government’s readiness for the partnership. A scientific collaboration accord, the Minister noted, with focus on training, reinforcing the material and infrastructural capacities of researchers could seal the deal.
Cameroon currently faces a variety of food security challenges, as demand for all food items exceeds national production and experts say the use of biotechnology can provide solutions that significantly improve agricultural production.
