Eight-point MoU to Boost Cameroon-Egypt Tourism

The first joint commission between the two countries ended in Yaounde at the weekend.
At
the end of the first session of the joint commission between the Arab
Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Cameroon on the tourism sector
which held in Yaounde from July 17-20, 2013
, the two countries have signed an eight-point Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) to improve their tourism sectors for the mutual
benefits of their economies and populations.
According
to the document, the parties agreed to organise bilateral workshops to
showcase their tourism products and factors of tourism development in
both countries, exchange experiences in the field of developing new
tourism areas as well as explore mutual investment opportunities,
exchange incentives and facilities offered to investors to develop
tourism. They also agreed to encourage investors to invest in Cameroon’s
tourism sector, for Egypt to organise training courses for tourism
stakeholders in Cameroon in the training centres of the Egyptian
Ministry of Tourism and Egyptian Tourism Federation according to the
needs of Cameroon and also for Egypt to provide its expertise to
Cameroon on the planning and development of infrastructure for some
tourism projects in Cameroon’s ten regions. Egypt is also to arrange for
training courses for tourism security as well as host the next session
of the commission on a date yet to be fixed.>>>
