It is the dream of promising entrepreneurs to sit at the feet of reputable professionals.
Youths
in the economic capital, Douala, have been urged to take advantage of
opportunities to fulfill their career dreams. Being connected to the
right people for mentoring is one of the most important challenges they
face. The first-ever Kaymu Entrepreneurs’
Club held recently in Akwa,
Douala. Professionals in marketing communication, natural hairdressing
and conception of electronic games, pointed the young entrepreneurs to
the need for being assisted, supported and advised by elders, self-made
professionals and business men.
As many
take up self-employment ventures, the Cameroonian entrepreneurship
milieu is full of young, talented and ambitious entrepreneurs constantly
seeking to develop their ideas. To many youths, the Entrepreneurs’ Club
is a veritable way to contribute to start-up and young entrepreneurs’
ideas by providing them opportunities to carry out their dream projects.
The aim
of the event by Kaymu, a marketplace portal, was to support
entrepreneurs by becoming an intermediary between them and successful
professionals for mentoring. Already held twice in Morocco and once in
Nigeria, the event was launched for the first time in Douala, Cameroon,
on October 17, 2015.
