Entrepreneurship: Over 100 Youths Acquire Skills

The importance of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship in society was the main focus in a two-day workshop on youth entrepreneurship that ended
at the African Institute for Computers Sciences (IAI)-Cameroon Centre d’Excellence Technologique Paul Biya on Tuesday May, 31, 2016.
Speaking at the closing, the Resident Representative of IAI-Cameroon, Armand Claude Abanda said training youths, women and children in computer sciences without inculcating in them the notion of entrepreneurship it will be worthless. He said the training will enable young Cameroonians acquire new skills in the domains of training in computer sciences, youth entrepreneurship and civic education.
These aspects, according to him, are important so that youths, women and children who will be trained within the framework of the MIJEF 2035 programme will be well equipped to train other young Cameroonians on how to create their own enterprises and bring assert and new projects which will be ready for the emergence 2035.
The objective of the workshop was to define and show the importance of entrepreneurship is in the economy and the society as well. It also gave participants the opportunity to learn new ideas to enable them create their own enterprises. For two days participants were taught on how to improve on their vocation of entrepreneurship and for those without the vocation on how to have the spirit of entrepreneurship.
At the end of the ceremony, attestations for participation were handed over to the participants by the Resident Representative of IAI-Cameroon. Organised by COM/ART in collaboration with the African Institute of Computer Sciences IAI-Cameroon, the workshop brought together some 100 participants from the country.
