African Leadership Academy (ALA) is a South Africa-based educational institution dedicated to creating lasting social impact in Africa by cultivating and providing lifelong support to the next generation of African leaders.

Founded in 2004, ALA seeks to create opportunity for young Africans, build an ecosystem for entrepreneurship, and accelerate social change from within the continent. ALA identifies the most promising 16-19 year olds from all 54 African nations for an innovative, two-year program focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, and African studies.
