Stakeholders say apart from some technical appliances that have been
sold in Ghana from Cameroon (goods not even manufactured in Africa),
nothing concrete can be said about trade between the two countries. But
the situation might soon change as there are concerted efforts to
improve trade. In a working session on Monday April 23 between a
13-strong delegation of visiting Ghanaian wood experts on a prospection
mission to Cameroon led by the country’s Minister for Lands and Natural
Resources, Mike Hammah and Cameroon’s Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire
Mbarga Atangana, it emerged that all is being done to boost inter-state
trade and in so doing, socio-economic development of the two countries.
